Bragging Rights!

Let's give the "I wish I could be (thinner, smarter, prettier...)" talk a rest for a minute.  What makes you proud to be you right now? Come on, let's hear it!

I love that I am a unique person. I love the sixties and seventies and dress like a Mod and have so much fun being infatuated with anything retro. All the music I listen to is from the twentieth century practically, notably The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Donovan, The Monkees, etc. People notice that I'm different this way and comment on my retro style, one girl noted that my makeup looks like Twiggy's the other day, people get it! It makes me really happy that people can see that I am an individual rather than a twin and a carbon copy of my sister.

@BehindBlueEyes you definitely have an amazing playlist going on there! I' a guitarist so I think I'm being a bit biased in favoring those artists! Do you by any chance play an instrument?

I'm proud at myself at this moment, because I still make all my homework haha.. :P I never managed to still make my homework, 2 months after school started again. :')

I'm proud to be myself right now, because I'm finally in a relationship that I've worked hard to be in, and it's going rather well, and I'm at the point where I've been able to open up to him properly. He's so happy about it, since that's all he's wanted. He said he's wanted for so long for me to be comfortable enough to tell him what's on my mind, or if anything's bothering me, or if I'm not okay. He is simply amazing, and he is there to protect me from everything bad in the world it seems, and is there to comfort me if somehow, I do get hurt.

I'm proud to be me right now because of my strength and determination to battle anorexia.

Loving all of these! Keep 'em coming! We need to keep taking pride in our strengths, talents, and even what might seem like small accomplishments. There are so many messages out there designed to make us feel like we're not good enough. We ARE good enough, and we should be proud of who we are every day.

I am proud to be me because I am a hard worker who is on the road to recovery after a long battle with bulimia. I do well at school, love fifties style fashion (tea dresses, red Mary Janes) and I can sing quite well. My hair is long, thick and wavy. I sew patchwork quilts and I muck out pigs, but I am a fifties belle at heart with a love of Doctor Who and romantic novels!
