"ed" and yourself

Hello ladies and gents It's time to realize there's a difference from you and your eating disorder. I myself am currently in the process of recovery from an eating disorder. I always thought it was just my head saying "im fat" "i don't deserve to eat" ect. But then I realized its almost a person that doesn't want you to see your own beauty. It is... That "voice" person is completely not who you are! Once you let go of it, you learn to be yourself. It feels so freeing

I love this--so true! Do you know Jenni Schaefer's work? She writes about breaking up with "Ed" and I think that's a really powerful way to look at recovery from an eating disorder. Thanks for sharing your experience and for the encouraging words!
