Golda went on her first diet when she was in nursery school. She spent the next 24 years trying to lose weight and feeling bad about her "failures." Then she tried something different. And it worked.

At a time when there is so much public conversation about obesity, it seems like the message that "thin=healthy" is everywhere. But Golda makes a solid case for why the healthiest approach isn't to fixate on weight loss--it's to embrace self-acceptance.
