Kira Rakova is a graduating senior at the City College of New York studying international studies, communications and anthropology. Her research and activist interests include mental health and eating disorder justice, social development and gender justice. Currently, she is proud to be a Steering Committee member of the first World Eating Disorders Action Day. She is also the blog and Twitter manager of the online, recovery-focused community Beating Eating Disorders and a contributing writer to Adios Barbie.
Proud2Bme is an online community created by and for teens. We cover everything from fashion and beauty to news, culture, and entertainment—all with the goal of promoting positive body image and encouraging healthy attitudes about food and weight.
