How Does Music Help You Hold On Another Day?

Music is a powerful force. It can steady us when we feel shaky. It can keep us holding on. Is there a song that you turn to when you're facing tough times? There's a new project that wants to hear it.

Twenty-one-year-old Isabel Thottam credits music with helping her get through depression. She started Hold On Another Day to highlight the hope that music brings to so many. There's a YouTube channel where you can submit your video with the songs that have had the biggest impact in your life.

Here's Project Believe in Me founder Alex Horsey talking about how Demi Lovato's song "Believe in Me" was a refuge for him when he dealt with middle school bullying, depression and body image issues.

Hold On Another Day also compiles "mixtapes" (okay, CDs and mP3s, but don't "mixtapes" sound way more fun?) and sells them to benefit causes.

What songs would be on your mixtape? Share them and read others' picks in our Playlists forum.
