7 Fashion Rules to Break This Season

By Pooja Patel--Fall is a season of vibrant transformation. As the leaves change, we at Proud2Bme also think that some of the fashion rules should change as well! Look below for some dos and don’ts for Fall 2015.

1. Do rock the crop top! Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t rock the crop top. While some may think that it’s too chilly for the beloved crop top, I’m a proponent of choosing your own fall vibe. Don’t believe the haters who claim that you can only wear one if you’re an Olympic athlete—because they are so wrong! Try pairing the crop top with a thick cardigan (to keep warm) and a chunky necklace.

2. Do wear leggings. The fall can get hectic and sometimes you just cannot wear real pants! Rock your leggings no matter your shape. Try some patterned leggings with an oversized sweater and some boots and you’ll be as cozy as they come.

3. Turtlenecks aren’t just for your grandmother! Turtlenecks aren’t frumpy anymore and they are definitely one of those things that look great on everyone! Try the look with your hair up and some bold earrings.

4. Don’t let the idea of superman’s cape deter you from wearing a strong female cape! As weird as it may sound, capes are totally in. The cape not only looks super chic, but makes you feel like a badass as well.  

5. Don’t be afraid of the all black look. People seem to think that wearing all black is “too much,” but I absolutely disagree! Black is genuinely flattering on everyone. Simple ripped black jeans with a black turtleneck or long-sleeve tee is a great day-to-night look!

6. Hats aren’t just for when it’s sunny. A long-brimmed hat keeps your head nice and toasty—and gives your look an instant boost!

7. Do encourage others to rock their own unique styles! What fun is fashion if you can’t be yourself when choosing what to wear? Make sure to appreciate your own style and the style of your friends!
